About BAO
BAO is an architecture studio with its home base in Johannesburg, South Africa. We aim to be an honest reflection of a collaborative work ethos with a young team of Architects and Interior Designers. We are led by founder Shershen Naidoo, based in Johannesburg, collaborating alongside Erick Kruger, Revaldo Teixeira, and Zac De Freitas based in Lisbon, Portugal (Design).

We believe in the potential for architecture to transform the way we live. Our design process aspires to be pragmatic, and optimistic. The work we do spans across sectors to include; hotels, lodges, shopping centres, offices, mixed-use precincts, private residential and residential developments. We specialise in new builds, and refurbs of all of the above.

We work closely with clients who share common values, and believe as we do, that the impact of their projects is far greater than the sum of its parts. BAO strives towards a happy, healthy, career fulfilling creative environment, which motivates our team to be fully invested in the wellbeing of our clients, and the spaces we create.
